Heute der (vorerst) letzte Deck8-Beitrag der Dienstagsreihe. Heute geht es um den Whiskey Sour! Ein oft unterschätzter wundervoller Klassiker, der sich eigentlich zu jedermanns Liebling machen lässt, denn: man kann nicht nur den Whiskey variieren bis einem schwindlig wird, sondern auch ganz verschiedenen Varianten der Zubereitung austesten!
Superklassisch ist: Whiskey | frischer Zitronensaft | Barsirup und/oder Puderzucker – so macht der Whiskey Sour meinen Helden glücklich.
Und dann?
Dann gibt es zum Beispiel Liebhaber der Variation mit Eiweiß (Boston Sour)– diese haben wir diesmal im Deck8 getestet. Ein völlig anderer Drink! Nur durch das Eiweiß!
Es gibt aber auch noch:
Den Fancy Sour (mit Orangenlikör),
den New York Sour (am Ende noch Rotwein oben drauf ins Glas geben – diese Variante gibt es auch mit oder ohne Eiweiß),
den Double Standard Sour (mit Whiskey, Gin und einem dash Grenadinesirup),
den Park Lane (mit Whiskey und Sloe Gin),
undundund – hier ist noch lange nicht Schluss…
Also: welcher Whiskey Sour ist denn Euer Liebling?
This is the last Tuesday's Deck8-derived post about Cocktails – the next ones will be made by me again. Today it's about the Whiskey Sour! An often underestimated but wonderful classic that really does make everyone's favorite because: one cannot only vary the whiskey, but also try out all different types of preparation!
Classic is : whiskey | fresh lemon juice | simple syrup and/or icing sugar – that’s the whiskey sour which makes my hero happy.
And then what? Then there is the variation with ess white (Boston Sour) - this time we have tested that in Deck8. A completely different drink! Only due to the egg white!
But there are also:
The Fancy Sour (with orange liqueur).
the New York Sour (add red wine in the glass at the end - this variantion is also available with or without egg white),
the Double Standard Sour (with whiskey, gin and a dash grenadine syrup),
the Park Lane (with whiskey and sloe gin),
and so on - this is not the end yet ...
So: which one’s yours?
